It took me twenty years to build this reputation. One book to destroy it.

🤫 Shhh… don’t tell anyone…

I’ve been single for twenty years. Yep. Two whole decades.

No dates, no flings. No situationships. Just an intimate ghost town full of emotional tumbleweed.

Which raises a fair question:

What the hell would I know about love?

And perhaps an even better one…

What audacity would possess me to write a book called The Sacred Pause: Love, Loneliness and All the In Between and expect anyone to care what I think?

Honestly, I asked myself those same questions many times while writing it.

Because unlike many relationship books, this isn’t a story about finding “the one”, living happily ever after, or pretending I’ve mastered the mysteries of love.

It’s the story of a man who spent two decades walking alone.

A journey that taught me far more than I ever expected about relationships, not just with others, but with myself.

You see, when you’re single for a long time, something interesting happens.

You become an observer.

You watch people fall in love. You watch them fall apart. You watch them settle. You watch them grow. You watch them repeat the same patterns over and over again.

And if you’re paying attention, you begin to see the beautiful, messy complexity of human nature.

You start noticing that most of us aren’t really searching for love at all… we’re searching for acceptance, belonging, connection, meaning… and ultimately, permission to finally be enough.

This book is not written from the perspective of an expert who has all the answers. It’s written from the perspective of a fellow traveller who’s spent twenty years asking questions.

Sometimes finding answers, sometimes just finding better questions, and occasionally stumbling upon a little wisdom along the way.

So here it is.

The cat’s officially out of the bag.

No hiding. No mask. No carefully crafted image. No ego left standing guard. Just me… raw, authentic and honest. Sharing the lessons, reflections, heartbreaks, discoveries and unexpected gifts that emerged from a twenty-year solo journey.

And for those who choose to keep reading, Part Two goes beyond reflection and offers a practical self-love toolkit designed to help nurture your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Because in a world that feels increasingly noisy, chaotic and disconnected, perhaps the most important relationship we’ll ever cultivate is the one we have with ourselves.

So yes…

I’ve been single for twenty years.

And perhaps that’s exactly why I had to write this book.

🙏🏻✨
