Scott's Story

Scott William Archer is an artist, performer, psychic and trance medium, author and speaker whose life and work have unfolded across more than four decades of creativity, performance and spiritual exploration.

 

Perhaps the simplest way to describe Scott is as someone who has always been curious about what lies beneath the surface.

 

His creative life began at art college, studying photography and silkscreen, alongside a love of sculpture and drawing. He trained in jazz, tap and ballet before becoming a professional singer and actor, working across major musicals, theatre, casinos and cruise ships around the world. Performing has remained an important part of his life ever since — not simply as a career, but as a way of connecting with people.

 

His spiritual journey began much earlier than his professional work in the field. As a child, Scott often felt different, sensing and experiencing the world in ways he didn’t always understand. At nineteen, something shifted, beginning a lifelong exploration of spirituality, consciousness and the nature of human experience.

 

What followed was anything but a straight line. Scott immersed himself in books, spiritual traditions and healing modalities, always curious, occasionally sceptical and usually willing to give something a go. His explorations have included Rebirthing, Craniosacral Therapy, Osho Rebalancing, active meditation, floatation tanks, kinesiology and even a Vipassana retreat — although, in a moment that perhaps says rather a lot about him, he eventually jumped the fence and escaped.

 

Over the years, his natural sensitivity developed into a deeper understanding of mediumship and healing. He became a psychic and trance medium, channel and Reiki Master, and was ordained as a Spiritualist Reverend and Minister in 2011. His connection with spiritualist churches has been an important part of his journey, including many years of teaching, mentoring developing mediums and serving within church communities.

 

Scott’s work is grounded in the belief that spirituality doesn’t need to be solemn, complicated or disconnected from everyday life. He brings intuition, compassion and a healthy dose of humour to his work, creating spaces where people can feel safe to explore the things they sense, wonder about and sometimes can’t quite explain.

 

He is a deep thinker and an intensely intuitive and empathetic person, but he’s also down to earth, cheeky, occasionally sarcastic and blessed with a fairly dry sense of humour. He can be shy and introspective one moment and completely outrageous the next. He takes the things that matter seriously, but doesn’t take himself too seriously.

 

Scott is also an author, with six books published and more on the way. Writing has become another way for him to explore the questions that have fascinated him throughout his life — love, loss, loneliness, consciousness, intuition, the soul and what it means to be human.

 

After more than four decades of performing, creating, teaching, healing, writing and exploring, Scott is still curious. Still questioning. Still learning. And still following whatever thread of inspiration happens to appear next.

 

And somewhere in the middle of all of it is Charlie, his beloved Cavoodle, who remains entirely unimpressed by Scott’s spiritual credentials and considerably more interested in dinner.

 

Ultimately, Scott’s work isn’t really about having all the answers. It’s about creating a space where people can become a little more curious about themselves, their lives and the possibilities that exist beyond what we can see.

 

And that, perhaps, has been the thread running through everything he’s ever done.
