“Oh shit… I’ve done it.”
That’s pretty much what this photo says. 😅
After countless hours writing, rewriting, doubting, editing, procrastinating, second-guessing, and somehow finding the courage to keep going, my books are finally out in the world.
And if I’m honest, there’s a part of me that still feels a little like this…
Excited.
Grateful.
Terrified.
Because once you put something you’ve created into the world, there’s no taking it back. Your thoughts, stories, experiences and heart are suddenly out there for others to read, judge, love, ignore, relate to, question, or hopefully be inspired by.
What has absolutely blown me away is hearing from people who have started reading.
One reader recently told me they weren’t quite sure what they were going to get from the book… but they’ve found themselves reading it every night and are loving the stories.
That meant more to me than they probably realise.
Because as I wrote in the preface:
“I share my story here, written from my heart to yours. They are only my thoughts, opinions and experiences… my own personal truth. I do not expect anyone to adopt or even accept any of them. But if coming along for the ride inspires, triggers, heals or reminds you of your own truth and magnificence, then I have cause to gently smile.”
That was always the intention.
Not to convince anyone of anything or to preach and appear to have all the answers… simply to share the journey.
And if something within these pages sparks a smile, a memory, a moment of healing, a new perspective, or a deeper connection with yourself… then every anxious nail-biting moment was worth it.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, encouraged me, bought a book, shared a post, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines.
It truly means the world 🙏🏻✨
